Devín Castle is a historic site located on a hill, and the summer sun can be quite intense here. If you are planning a visit, please remember to bring enough water, a hat or other head covering, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and light clothing.
There are also several practical options on site that can make your visit more comfortable:
• drinking water is available in the lower and middle parts of the castle grounds,
• a mobile café in the middle castle area offers drinks and light refreshments,
• several spots under the trees in the lower castle area provide shade,
• for late afternoon or evening visits, we also recommend bringing insect repellent.

If you belong to a higher-risk group, we recommend postponing your visit until the weather is more pleasant. If you do decide to come, please arrive well prepared and enjoy your visit at a slower, more relaxed pace.
If you start feeling unwell or need assistance during your visit, please contact the Devín Castle team. They will be happy to help.
The safety of our visitors is our top priority.
We’re open from Tuesday to Sunday, during the castle’s opening hours. More information is available at www.mmb.sk and on the social media channels of the Museum of the City of Bratislava.
We look forward to welcoming you and thank you for taking care of your health, the Devín Castle & MMB Team
