History Come Alive aims to present the significant periods in the history of Devín Castle in an engaging and interactive way, spanning from prehistory to antiquity, the early and high Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Baroque period, and the time of the Kingdom of Hungary.
The rich program will consist of fencing and musical performances, lectures and accompanying activities aimed at children and adult visitors. Various period tent camps will be built in the area of Devín Castle – freely accessible to visitors with the opportunity to take photos with the performers in costumes, interactive period children’s games and period activities, as well as the presentation of period crafts. Food stalls emphasize traditional and period dishes (regional specialties, period cuisine).
